Rooto Maps on Android
Rooto comes to Android phones and iPhone at the same time: on Google Play and the App Store in November, in the United States. It is the same app on both. Tell us you want it, and we will write to you once, the day it is on Google Play.
What the button does
It opens an email to [email protected] with Android waitlist in the subject. Send it as it is. We use your address for one message: the day Rooto is on Google Play. There is no newsletter behind it.
The same app as on iPhone
Before you leave, Rooto saves the roads around your whole route on the phone. When the signal drops, it keeps guiding and reroutes with no service at all, no plan needed, and at the end it shows the minutes it covered. Hazard alerts from other drivers, lane guidance and the spoken voice are all there. No ads, no account.
What is different on Android
- Screen off. While a trip runs, Android shows an ongoing Rooto notification so guidance keeps going with the screen off. It goes away when the trip ends.
- Subscriptions. Rooto Pro is bought, managed and cancelled through Google Play, with the same plans as on the iPhone.
- In the car. Android Auto support is coming.
